And you shall find the Babe.....

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.And,lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid. I have been collecting nativities for the past 8 years and have several favorites but this pitiful little one that I made out of tiny gourds is my husband's favorite: I found the idea for it many years ago so I have no idea who to give credit but just so you know, whoever you are, my husband loves it!

I only had this one weird shaped gourd left to make sheep so I had to make them back to back to make the gourd work. hahahaha!

I glued them to a wooden star for the base. It seems like it has been another tradition just re-gluing a different one each year when we take it out of the box so it isn't as neat as it once was. It's a strange little set but it is his favorite so I guess I'll keep it!
